Community inclusion trainings & Resources
Traditional therapy is powerful — but lasting progress is built in the moments between sessions. Collabracate exists to support those moments — coaching the families, educators, and caregivers who show up every single day, and connecting them with the community resources and support networks that help every individual thrive across the lifespan.
At Collabracate we believe that great support extends beyond our own services. We are dedicated to building meaningful relationships with community organizations, service providers, inclusion advocates, and regional resources to create a comprehensive network of support for the individuals and families we serve. This page is actively growing — please check back regularly for updated community resources, referral information, and local support options.
When you work with Collabracate you gain more than a consulting team — you gain access to a growing network of trusted community partners, regional service providers, and inclusion advocates dedicated to supporting individuals and families throughout Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicagoland area. Our goal is to connect the families, caregivers, and educators we serve with every resource available to them — because no family should have to navigate this journey alone.
Collabracate believes that true inclusion extends far beyond the classroom and the therapy room. Our licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist provide customized inclusion awareness and accommodation training for the community members and organizations that individuals of all abilities interact with every single day — helping build communities where every individual feels safe, understood, and fully included. Training is available in person throughout Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicagoland area, and virtually for organizations nationwide.
Our training programs are available for:
First Responders — Police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel seeking practical strategies for safely and respectfully interacting with individuals of all abilities and communication styles in the field
Healthcare Workers —Nurses, physicians, support staff, and allied health professionals looking to better understand and accommodate patients with diverse communication needs and sensory profiles
Faith Communities — Churches, synagogues, mosques, and other houses of worship committed to becoming more inclusive, welcoming, and supportive of individuals of all abilities and their families
Businesses & Employers — Retail, hospitality, and service industry staff who regularly interact with individuals of all abilities and want to provide a more confident, respectful, and accommodating experience
Community Organizations — Nonprofits, civic groups, recreational programs, and youth organizations dedicated to building more inclusive and accessible community spaces
Extended Family & Support Networks —Grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and close family friends who want to better understand their loved one's diagnosis, communication style, and sensory needs so they can show up as a more informed and supportive part of the team
Collabracate's training programs cover communication differences, sensory processing, behavioral profiles, de-escalation strategies, and practical accommodation techniques — each program tailored specifically to the audience and setting to ensure the content is relevant, meaningful, and immediately applicable. Virtual training sessions are available for organizations throughout the country.
